Education and Training

Through discussions with your Employment Specialist it may be determined that training or further education may be the best option for you to secure sustainable employment. We will work with you to determine the best supports available to you to help you achieve your job search and employment goals. If you are underemployed or unemployed, working with an Employment Specalist will provide access to many training opportunities through Employment Ontario programs and, as well, valuable connections with our community training partners.

We recognize that, now more than ever, more jobs are demanding higher levels of education. We also recognize that not having a high school diploma can impact finding a job. There are many pathways to choose from. For detailed information about training and education options please click on the links below.

It is for recently laid-off unemployed workers for which long-term skills training is the most appropriate intervention to transition them into high-skill, demand occupations in the local labour market. Second Career also provides financial support to participants in training for a new career.
