Shipping Supervisor

Michel Germain Parfums is one of the world’s pre-eminent suppliers of men’s and women’s perfumes, eau de toilettes, beauty creams and other related products. Our more than 1,000 products are in demand around the world and can be found in prestigious outlets such as HBC, Macy’s and JC Penney, or on-line via Amazon, MichelGermain.com and elsewhere.

We operate as a close-knit team and are looking to bring aboard our newest contributor. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and is available immediately.

Shipping Supervisor

• Pack shipments, prepare relevant documents (BOLs, customs forms, etc.)
• Coordinate daily shipments with national and international carriers
• Direct packing and shipping staff and operations at the company’s warehouse
• Track and replenish equipment and supplies to ensure optimal operations
• Respond to email and telephone queries from staff, customers, carrier companies and suppliers
• Oversee the management and control of inventory

Requirements:

• Computer competency: experience using different shipping-related applications. Working knowledge of an MRP or ERP system such as NetSuite is a definite asset.
•  Numeric competency: Strong ability and comfort in working with numbers relating to product codes, shipping forms, inventory counts, PO numbers and more.
•  People competency: Able to comfortably manage and direct a strong team with a philosophy involving teamwork, cooperation and respect.
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot according to changing priorities
• Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot warehouse, inventory and shipping issues
•  Experience in shipping or general warehousing environments, in particular in dealing with customers, vendors and shippers. We are willing to help develop individuals who can show us their potential and willingness to learn.
•  Experience in shipping dangerous goods internationally is a definite asset.

Salary & Location:

This is a permanent full-time role at 40 hours per week. Salary will be commensurate with skills and experience. This position will be based at the company’s office in Carleton Place, Ontario.
