Funded by FedDev, Valley Heartland CFDC assists small towns and rural communities to strengthen and diversify their economies.
The Enterprise Centre provides confidential business advisory services to small business start-ups, as well as on-going support for existing small businesses. The Lanark-North Leeds Enterprise Centre is a business information source designed to point entrepreneurs in the right direction including offering Events and Workshops to keep you informed of Small Business needs and linking you to other knowledgeable resources.
Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC) has grown to become Canada’s largest manufacturing consortium and with order 1,000 hands-on industry events annually, the most active manufacturing organization in North America! EMC is a unique not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping manufacturers GROW and become MORE COMPETITIVE, at home and around the world.

The Carleton Place Chamber of Commerce exists to support local businesses, to provide information and resources to residents and visitors in the community, and to create and maintain an environment for business success by providing value and support to our members. They have provided supports for businesses such as: engaging in dialogue with representative at all levels of government, lobbying and representation, assisting with marketing and promotion, offered discounted training and various tools and resources.
The BIA is a self-help mechanism funded through a special municipal tax, designed to assist the local downtown business area. It allows for planned programs to be developed through an annual budget contributed to, by all its members. The ongoing efforts of the BIA attract and maintain customers, clients, and shoppers in the commercial area, as well as attracting new business to the community.
The Mississippi Mills Chamber of Commerce is the business networking hub of the historic towns of Almonte, Pakenham and the former Ramsay township. They host informal monthly mixers for businesses. These events are a great opportunity to meet the movers and shakers from all sectors of the community.
