Sewing Machine Operator

Mike’s Marine is looking for a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to join our team on a part-time, flexible basis. We specialize in custom boat upholstery, seat covers, and canvas repairs, and we’re seeking someone detail-oriented and hands-on to help us deliver high-quality craftsmanship to our customers.

Position: Sewing Machine Operator
Location: Carleton Place, ON
Schedule: As needed, approx. 3 days/week (with potential for more hours during busy seasons)

What You’ll Do:

• Operate an industrial sewing machine to produce and repair boat seat covers, upholstery, and marine canvas.

• Measure, cut, and assemble materials with accuracy.

• Perform repairs on existing canvas and covers.

• Ensure finished products meet quality standards.

• Collaborate with the shop team to complete customer projects on time.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with industrial or heavy-duty sewing machines.

• Upholstery, canvas work, or related experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Reliability and willingness to adapt to seasonal workload.
