The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and supervising a wide range of construction projects. The Project Coordinator will manage projects within the department under the direction of the Project Manager. Will help organize and oversee plan designated construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner, within schedule, ensuring each project meets the required GP%.
The ideal candidate should have experience in handling working with construction supervisors and workers, be able to multi-task, have great organizational skills and an analytical mind.
A good understanding of civil construction, and of project documents including blueprints, elevations, specifications, and soils reports would be considered an asset in this position.
The Project Coordinator must be a team player who is willing to positively contribute at all levels, to assist in achieving the vision and mission of the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Project Manager to collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Coordinate and assist with coordinating schedules with clients, subcontractors, and company staff
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Locates
- Assist with determining needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Assist with acquiring equipment and material and monitor what is in stocks
- Assist in hiring subcontractors and allocating responsibilities
- Supervise the work of foremen, laborers, etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Assist in evaluating progress and prepare detailed reports. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Ensure daily foreman logs are completed and filed
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Any other tasks that will contribute to the smooth running of the AWD team.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
