Groundskeeper

Job Type: Part-time and Full-time available – seasonal only; starting April 8th 2025 to October 31st 2025 weather permitting

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Campground Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty and safety of our campground. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a passion for outdoor maintenance, and a commitment to providing guests with a clean and pleasant environment. As a groundskeeper, you will play an essential role in the upkeep of the campground’s grounds, ensuring all areas are well-maintained and safe for visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Maintain flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants to enhance the campground’s aesthetic appeal.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of campground facilities, including restroom areas, picnic tables, fire pits, and campsites.
• Remove litter, debris, and hazardous materials from the campground premises.
• Inspect and maintain all outdoor equipment, such as lawnmowers, power tools, and hand tools.
• Ensure proper waste disposal by monitoring and managing trash and recycling bins throughout the campground.
• Assist in setting up, repairing, or maintaining campground structures like fences, signs, and benches.
• Assist with pest control and weed management to keep the grounds in optimal condition.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the campground manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Provide excellent customer service, answering guests’ questions and directing them to campground amenities as needed.
• Assist with special events, campground projects, or seasonal activities as requested.

Qualifications: training will be provided
• Previous landscaping or groundskeeping experience an asset
• Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to outdoor work is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and stoop for long periods.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Compensation:
Starting at $22/hr depending on experience and availability.
