Employment Services

Welcome! We continue to offer virtual services as well as in-person visits Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Any unemployed or underemployed individual may use our services, as well as employed individuals expecting a layoff. Students entering the workforce or looking for summer work are also welcome. Employers can also use our services to connect with job seekers as well as access grants for the training of their incumbent employees and new hires. No matter the situation, we offer effective solutions to meet today’s workforce challenges.

Job Seekers: Are you unemployed? Underemployed? Laid-off? Are you looking for information related to Apprenticeships, schooling, or training? Employers: Are you looking for somewhere to post your job ad? Interested in incentives such as on-the-job training costs? Would you like help with the Canada-Ontario Job Grant? Students: We post student jobs in our centre and can assist you with your job search. We also have a website with job search tips for youth exclusively for you! You can check it out by clicking CCAYOUTH.

NOTICE: Our Employment Resource Centre is OPEN. The new road construction activity on Bridge Street has closed sections of the street at the front of our building. The neighboring parking lots to our centre are still fully available. Bridge Street access is easy off of either Beckwith Street or Victoria Street. Or, if you wish to avoid the construction, our centre may also be accessed through the rear entrance of the building that is off of Victoria Street. 

Our Employment Centre is located at 92 Bridge Street and is open to job seekers looking for work or retraining Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Our full-service Employment Resource Centre provides a range of in-person or virtual employment supports including:

  • One-to-one confidential career planning
  • Job search advice and training
  • Résumé and cover letter support
  • Direct links to local employers through a range of employer services 
  • Funded training and supports opportunities
  • Access to a fully equipped resource centre
  • Referrals to community supports and services
  • 12 months retention support once employed to ensure your new job is going well for you

The Canadian Career Academy is based in Carleton Place and serves the following communities:
