Labourer

OGS Inc. is a small family run drilling firm. We specialize in Geotechnical and Environmental Drilling. OGS Inc. is looking for a dedicated hard worker to join our team. We do everything from environmental sampling with monitoring well installations to geotechnical drilling for structural investigations (Hollow stem augers, Shelby tubes, Shear Vanes, Remote location drilling, CME drill rigs, Portable drill rigs).

We are a fast paced drilling company. Workers must be willing to learn quickly, work safely, become a team player and follow rules set in place on site. Long hours required and will have the potential for overtime. This job will also comprise of plenty of heavy lifting so physical mobility is a must. Many jobs can require out of town jobsite locations so the worker must be able to work out of town for durations of time (avg. 1-2 weeks) if required.

Overtime after 40 Hours, Benefits, Work Clothes allowance etc.

Experience:

• Training about equipment will be provided by OGS Inc. staff
• Workers own means of travel to the shop (Almonte, ON)
• Existing Safety training is not a must but an asset (WHIMIS, POST, Confined Space, First Aid, etc.)
• Experience with Physical Labour (lifting safely, aware of surroundings)
• Valid driver’s license
• Must work well with other staff and completely follow directions
• Reading, writing and basic math skills are a must
• Must be able to clearly speak English. French is an asset but not required
• Worker must supply their own safety boots
• Worker must be dependable on time for each shift.
• Maintain good work ethic and positive attitude while at work with clients.
• Some basic knowledge of small engines is not a must but an asset.
