Production Worker

Forage Hyperfoods makes holistic and preventative medicine more accessible to more people with our Canadian harvested mushroom-based wellness products. We value sustainability, inclusion, and education in fungi medicine, and strive to be a good example in this space.

Forage is currently seeking a full time Production Worker to join the production team and assist with the daily operations of the production department.

Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Worker position requires a self-motivated, organized individual with teamwork skills.

Duties of the Production Worker include but are not limited to:

• Organize raw materials required for production, inspecting products for quality control, and organizing inventory of finished products.
• Prepare shipments accurately and on schedule.
• Operate and maintain production equipment and machinery.

• Ensure workstation, production, shipping, and office areas are clean.
• Understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and comply with a culture that promotes safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Strong communication skills to communicate with team members and supervisors.
• Good analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow direction, work independently, and successfully collaborate with others.
• Willingness to acquire technical knowledge and expertise by embracing continuous learning.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
• Ability to read, interpret and adhere to documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies.
• Ability to manage time effectively with a process and results-driven approach to maximize efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Good physical dexterity. Capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and lifting 25-50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to operate and control industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with best practices for preventing and reporting accidents and hazards is helpful.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
