The Role
As an Operations Team Member, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of Saunders Farm. Working closely with the Operations Team Leader and other team members, you will contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for farm visitors. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks that help maintain the farm’s attractions, facilities, and guest services. You will assist in managing the parking facilities to ensure the efficient and organized flow of vehicles entering and exiting the parking area. You will provide exceptional customer service to visitors, helping them navigate the parking process smoothly and addressing any inquiries they may have.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of farm grounds and attractions to ensure they are safe and ready for use.
- Assist in providing excellent customer service to farm visitors by addressing inquiries, providing directions, and ensuring their needs are met.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors and follow emergency protocols as needed.
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining farm facilities, restrooms, and common areas to ensure a clean and organized environment for visitors.
- Be prepared to assist in different areas of operations based on changing needs and busy periods.
- Work closely with other farm team members to ensure smooth coordination and seamless operations.
- Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and be prepared to assist guests during evacuations or other emergency situations.
- Ensure the proper utilization of parking spaces, maximizing capacity while maintaining a well-organized layout.
- Direct traffic within the parking area to maintain a steady and orderly flow of vehicles.
- Provide information and directions to visitors regarding parking rates, locations, and any special event-related instructions.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Monitor the parking area for safety hazards, unauthorized parking, and suspicious activity, reporting any security concerns or incidents to appropriate personnel.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous customer service experience, especially in a fast-paced environment, is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with visitors and team members.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult customer situations professionally.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to contribute to a fun and energetic atmosphere.
