As an Art Class Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our therapeutic art classes for individuals with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the instructor in creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Applicants must be available on Thursdays from 2:15-4:15 pm.


  • Assist the instructor with setting up and organizing art supplies and materials before each class.
  • Provide one-on-one support to participants as needed, including helping with art projects and offering encouragement and guidance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where participants feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized studio space throughout the class.
  • Collaborate with the instructor to develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate art activities.


  • Passion for working with individuals with disabilities and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with people of all ages and abilities.
  • Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals facing challenges.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to attending scheduled classes on time.
  • No prior artistic skills or experience required – we welcome candidates from all backgrounds and levels of expertise.
