Adventure Center Representative

Calabogie Peaks is a four-season country resort located on the shores of Calabogie Lake at the
base of Dickson Mountain, 50 minutes from Ottawa.
This boutique Hotel is part of the Ascend Collection by Choice, including 25 recently renovated
rooms, all of them with specific characteristics, also one to three bedroom condo suites all at the
base of the tallest ski resort in Ottawa Valley.
Cant Hooks restaurant offers a curated menu, to enjoy breakfast, lunch and Dinner along with a
warm lobby bar. Our Beach bar (opened during Summer) offer snacks and drinks, as well as rental
of aquatic equipment,

Calabogie Peaks Hotel is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and proactive Adventure
Center Representative (Mountain Passes ticket sales)
Reporting to the Adventure Center Supervisor or designated
Job Type: Part-time, Seasonal
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience + benefits

Job Overview
The Adventure Center Representative is responsible for selling tickets, having full knowledge of
Ski products, rental items and scheduled opening/closing hours. The Adventure Center
representative will answer questions about our range of products and will have general
knowledge on Ski products and Ski lessons.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations & Customer Service
• Greet and welcome all guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first
impression of the ski hill.
• Sell ski, snowboard and tubing tickets, ski lessons, ski rental packages, seasons passes,
snow school programs, Higher Education packages, Terrain Park Passes and other winter
mountain recreation products and services at Calabogie Peaks Resort

• Provide customers with detailed information regarding all aspects of the resort
mountain activities
• As one of the initial ‘voices’ of Calabogie Peaks, the Adventure Center call centre
answers inbound phone calls and responds to customer inquiries
• Communicate with school teachers who are supervising school field trips
• Knowledgeably market and promote all Resort winter products, programs, packages and
amenities
• Assist with Ski instructor lesson assignments
• Support Mountain Cat Café by providing staffing support as cashiers
• Support T&L at the Peaks by providing staffing support to the retail shop
• Support the hotel Front Desk by providing telephone answering services as it pertains to
recreation
• Handle cash, credit card and debit card payments
• Complete cash balancing activities

Qualifications & Skills
• Education: High School Diploma required; Post-secondary education is an asset.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience at customer service, cashier or ski
sports knowledge.
• Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Advanced computer skills – comfortable working with multiple systems
o Experience working with cash in a retail environment
o Strong keyboarding/typing skills
o Enthusiastic, friendly and professional in telephone and in-person manner
o Articulate with a good command of the English language
o Detail-oriented and able to remain calm under pressure
o Must be available to work all weekends.
o Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations.

Working Conditions
• This position requires the ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and
holidays.
• The role will require sitting and standing for long periods.
• This is a fast-paced environment requiring excellent time management and the ability to
manage multiple responsibilities at once.
