Job Overview
As a bakery assistant you will play a crucial role in assisting with the preparation and production of baked goods.
Duties
– Preparation of breads, buns and dougnuts and other prep work
– Deep frying
– Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and work area
– Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality
– Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations
– Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Skills required
– Previous experience in the bakery industry setting is preferred
– Strong organizational skills and time management
– Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
– Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
– Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Required: Current / active Food handler’s certificate or registration into the course
Job Types: Full-time
Salary: $18 – $18.50 per hour
Schedule: • Tuesday to Friday, • Saturday ½ day
Experience:
• Baking: 1 year (preferred)
