Sign manufacturer / Installer / Service technician

JOB PURPOSE
This role will be to assist in the manufacture and installation of commercial signage
OUR GOAL
We are hoping to find a motivated, eager-to-learn individual to add to our small family owned and operated business. We are looking for someone who will be a good, long-term fit with our team and is interested in learning more about the sign industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manufacturing and installing different types of commercial signage.
•Applying vinyl graphics to windows, fleet vehicles and generic sign panels
•Diagnosing Electrical Circuits (LED lighting)
•Knowledge of electrical connections and set-up
•Installation and service of LED and Fluorescent lighting
•Assist with various types of installations
•Housekeeping tasks (i.e. sweeping, emptying garbage, tidying workspace, etc.)
•Operating machinery & equipment (CNC Router, Channel Letter Bender, Laminator, etc.)
•Assist periodically with miscellaneous tasks not listed above when required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
•Good written and verbal communication skills
•Good computer skills
•Comfortable working in a group or independently on assigned tasks
•Willing and eager to learn more about the sign industry
•Must be punctual and reliable
•Able to follow direction, problem solve and anticipate next steps
•Excellent attention to detail in order to ensure high quality finished products
•Willing and eager to learn and operate machinery
•Must show initiative to complete regular maintenance and upkeep without having to be told
•Excellent time management skills
•Dressing appropriately; professional and weather dependant
•Maintain a safe work environment
•Safe operation of commercial vehicles such as Bucket Truck,
•Drivers License abstract (no fines or convictions in last 3 years)
•Clean Criminal record background check for working in secure buildings

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•This job requires frequent heavy lifting (50lbs+)
•Basic math skills and ability to use a tape measure accurately – recognizing fractions and increments, addition, subtraction, division & multiplication
•Comfortable working at heights (i.e. on ladders and aerial lifts)
•Standing for long periods of time
•Comfortable using hand & power tools
•Steel-toed Boots
•Dressing appropriately for weather conditions (jackets, hats, gloves, etc.)

POSITION DETAILS
•The hours for this position are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required.
•You will be working with current staff to assist with manufacturing and installations of different types of signage.
